Carnaval Latino Celebrates the Americas!

A celebration of extraordinary Latin music and the Hispanic heritage and culture, presented by  the non-profit Hispanic American Musicians and Artists Cultural Association (H.A.M.A.C.A.).

This unique weekend festival featuring international headline entertainment will be held on the New Orleans riverfront October 15th and 16th, 2011.

Carnaval Latino 2011  will include: Top headline entertainment; Music and folkloric dances from Spain, Portugal and the Americas; An extensive array of Hispanic and creole food and drinks; Visual arts and interactive entertainment and activities for people of all ages.

We will have activities for the kids: clowns, face painters and spacewalks.

As New Orleans continues to rebuild and clean itself of oil, the city recognized as the northernmost part of Latin America is recuperating at a rapid pace thanks in large part to the hard work of Hispanics who have moved here from around the country. Our beloved city wants to bring together its rich array of nationalities through this festival.  Many of the region's Hispanic organizations are joining together to make this dream happen.

A portion of the Carnaval Latino 2011 proceeds will benefit H.A.M.A.C.A (Hispanic-American Musicians and Artists Cultural Association), a 501 (c)(3) qualified non-profit foundation dedicated to fostering the arts and those who give it life.
